“To promote and foster equal employment, training and development opportunities; facilitate good labour and industrial relations practices; and ensure a safe, healthy and harmonious working environment.”

The Department carries out this mission by providing:

  • an industrial relations, advisory and conciliation service
  •  assistance with job placement
  • educational and training support
  • a vocational assessment and guidance service


Through effective partnerships, creative leadership, and the active participation of Bermuda’s general public, the Department of Labour and Training conducts its business according to the following guiding principals:
